DESCRIPTION

Hello, I am a Three-in-One Combo Pear! Just like my name suggests, I am best known for the three popular pear varieties that grow wonderfully together along my branches and ripen over an extended season. Not only do I provide an abundance and variety of fruit, my smaller size makes me perfect for smaller gardens and an excellent addition to any landscape or yard. I am low maintenance, and my one request is that I am given some extra water when it gets hot outside - I tend to be quite thirsty! I am happiest, healthiest and most beautiful when I am grown in full sun, in soil that is kept moist.

Care Guide

  • Watering: Water deeply and consistently to keep the soil evenly moist, but not waterlogged
  • Maintenance: Thin the fruit if there are too many, leaving about 4-6 inches between each pear. Support the branches with a trellis or stakes to prevent them from breaking under the weight of the fruit
  • Pruning: Prune in the late winter or early spring before new growth appears. Prune again in the late fall or early winter after the leaves have fallen. Shape the tree by cutting back any excessively long or upward-growing branches
  • (Optional):Fertilize: Apply a balanced fertilizer in the early spring before new growth appears. Repeat the application in the summer if the tree seems to be struggling or not producing fruit. Use a fertilizer with a higher potassium content to encourage fruit production
