Hello, I am a Waterfall Japanese Maple. Like my name hints, I am best known for my horizontally-cascading habit of growth, and my graceful weeping branches which resemble a waterfall. Not only is my habit of growth unique and graceful, I have the ability to shift color. My deep green foliage shifts to striking shades of gold, orange and scarlet red in the fall, making me the perfect accent shrub to transition your garden from summer to fall. I am relatively low maintenance, and should be pruned in the summer once my leaves are fully developed to ensure I don't bleed any sap. I am known to be a little bit thirsty, so I thrive in soil that is kept moist and isn't allowed to dry out. My perfect home has lots of space for me to spread out and grow, rich soil, and lots of sun for me to soak up throughout the day.
