How We Celebrated World Bee Day - LandscapeDirect

How We Celebrated World Bee Day

At Landscape Direct, supporting pollinators isn’t something we think about once a year, it’s part of how we approach gardening every day.

But World Bee Day gave us the perfect opportunity to celebrate the tiny pollinators that play such an important role in our gardens, food systems, and ecosystems. This year, we partnered with our customers to give back to the bees through the Toronto and Region Conservation Foundation.

This organization supports conservation projects, habitat restoration, environmental education, and biodiversity initiatives. For Bee Day, we participated in the foundation’s “Adopt a Bee” program, which helps support pollinator conservation efforts.

In just one day, together we raised $121 in support of bee conservation! Thank you to our amazing customers for helping us create a meaningful impact for pollinators.

Beyond World Bee Day

While World Bee Day is a wonderful reminder of the importance of pollinators, our commitment doesn’t stop when the day is over. Through our Bloom & Bee membership, every member helps us support these pollinators and their conservation.

Why Bees Matter

Bees are responsible for pollinating plants that support healthy ecosystems, food production, and biodiversity. Despite their utmost importance, these pollinators continue to face challenges from habitat loss, climate change, pests, diseases, and other environmental pressures.

The good news is, gardeners can make a real difference., By planting pollinator-friendly flowers, reducing pesticide use, and supporting conservation initiatives, we can help create spaces where bees can thrive.

Thank You

To everyone who participated in our World Bee Day initiative, thank you so much for helping us further support the bees. Together, we're helping create gardens that are not only beautiful, but beneficial too. 🐝
