Our Contribution to the National Wildlife Centre
At Landscape Direct, we’ve always believed that what we plant today shapes the world around us tomorrow. That’s why we were proud to support the National Wildlife Centre, an organization doing truly meaningful work at the intersection of wildlife care, conservation, and education.
The National Wildlife Centre provides urgent medical care to sick, injured, and orphaned wild animals, helping thousands return to their natural habitats each year. They are Canada’s first accredited national wildlife hospital, and they recently opened a new facility in Caledon, Ontario (the home of Landscape Direct!) Their new facility was in need of an outdoor transformation, so we worked together to provide landscaping materials and beautiful fresh plants to enhance their grounds in a way that reflects their mission: one rooted in care, restoration, and respect for the natural world.
Thoughtful landscaping goes beyond appearance. It creates environments that support biodiversity, offer calm and comfort, and reconnect people to nature. For a place like the National Wildlife Centre, that impact is even more meaningful. The surrounding landscape now plays a role in:
- Creating a welcoming experience for visitors
- Supporting native ecosystems and pollinators
- Providing a peaceful, natural setting for animals in recovery
We deeply admire and commend the National Wildlife Centre for their leadership, compassion, and dedication to protecting Canada’s wildlife. Being part of this project is something we’re incredibly grateful for. As a community, we all have a role to play in supporting the natural world around us.
Whether it’s planting native species, creating pollinator-friendly spaces, or supporting organizations like the National Wildlife Centre, every action contributes to a healthier, more connected ecosystem.
