How Does Landscape Direct Measure Plants?

Landscape Direct sells plants based off pot size, which is a generalized measure of a plants soil and root structure, and indicative of plants size based on the variety. As plants grow throughout the season, some varieties can double in size from April to August. To better understand and visualize our plant sizes, use our generalized sizing guide below. In addition, you can find any plants approximate size on arrival and maturity on its respective product page.

What Is A #1 Container VS 1 Gallon

At Landscape Direct, we believe in transparency and this starts with our products. Across the industry there are countless “1 Gallon Pots,” some smaller and others larger than 1 gallon of soil, which is why Landscape Direct lists products as generalized container sizes, to make your understanding of size and soil more accurate and simple. Refer to the chart below for soil volume in our containers.
