Lovely to meet you, my name is Lucy Rose of Sharon! I am best known for my showy double magenta-pink flowers which have a very long growth period. I have a smaller and more compact shape in comparison to other Rose of Sharon varieties, making me the perfect choice for a smaller garden space, or as the thriller plant in a spiller-thriller-filler container combination. I also have the special talent of attracting butterflies and hummingbirds to wherever I am planted - but don't worry, the deer leave me alone! I am high maintenance and require regular upkeep to keep me beautiful. I prefer to be pruned in the late winter once the threat of cold weather has passed. I thrive in any soil type and pH, and am very highly tolerant of urban pollution - you can plant me right in the city! I am happiest, healthiest and most beautiful when I am given some sun to soak up throughout the day, and my soil is kept moist.

Planting trees or plants is easy! First, begin by digging a hole that's twice as wide as the root ball and just as deep. Place the tree or plant in the hole and add some bonemeal fertilizer. Backfill with fresh soil if needed and water thoroughly. Water regularly until roots are established to keep the plant healthy. Enjoy your new tree or plant!
