In late winter, before new growth emerges, remove any remaining dead or damaged wood, and thin out any weak or crossing branches.
• (Optional): Northern Gold generally does not require fertilizer, as it can thrive in a variety of soil types. If desired, a light application of balanced fertilizer in early spring can help promote healthy growth and flowering.

Planting trees or plants is easy! First, begin by digging a hole that's twice as wide as the root ball and just as deep. Place the tree or plant in the hole and add some bonemeal fertilizer.
