Hello, my name is Pinky Winky Hydrangea! I am a long-season bloomer, known to show off dainty pink and white cones of flowers all summer. I am a smaller and more compact version of my parent, the Pink Diamond hydrangea, making me perfect for smaller garden spaces. I require occasional upkeep, and look my best when I am pruned in the late winter once the threat of extreme cold has passed. I am extremely adaptable, perform well in full sun or full shade, will thrive in any soil type, and I am even tolerant of urban pollution - you can plant me right in the city!

Location: Plant in a location with full sun to partial shade. It prefers morning sun and afternoon shade in hotter climates. Soil: Prefers well-draining soil with a pH of 5.5 to 7. Amend with compost or organic matter if needed. Watering: Water regularly, especially during dry spells. Ensure the soil remains moist but not waterlogged. Fertilizing: Apply a balanced slow-release fertilizer in early spring. Avoid over-fertilizing, as this can lead to excessive growth and fewer blooms. Pruning: Prune in late winter or early spring. Remove dead or weak stems, and shape as desired. This hydrangea blooms on new wood, so pruning won't harm the current year's bloom.
