Description

Hello! My name is Pink Michaelmas Daisy, and I am best known for my bright pink flowers which add life and color to an autumn garden. Not only do I prolong the spring and summer colors of your garden, I have a talent for attracting butterflies (but don't worry, the deer leave me alone)! I am very low maintenance, and only require a bit of spring clean up before I resume my growing season in the summer. I am happiest, healthiest, and most beautiful when I am planted in groupings, the sun is shining on me,and my soil is kept moist.

Highlights

  • Wood's Pink Alpine Aster is a low-maintenance plant that is easy to grow and care for, making it a great choice for novice gardeners.
  • It produces profuse pink flowers with yellow centre that bloom from late summer through fall, adding vibrant colour to your garden when other plants may be past their peak.
  • This plant attracts butterflies and other pollinators, making it a great addition to any wildlife-friendly garden.

Care Guide

  • Sunlight: This plant prefers full sun, but can tolerate partial shade. It is best to plant it in a sunny location for the best flower production.
  • Soil: Woods Pink Alpine Aster prefers well-drained soil that is slightly alkaline. If the soil is too heavy, it can be amended with sand or perlite to improve drainage.
  • Watering: Ensure the soil stays evenly moist, but not waterlogged. Watering once or twice a week is typically sufficient, although the frequency may need to be adjusted based on weather conditions.
