Black Eyed Susan

• Watering: Black Eyed Susan needs regular watering during the first growing season to establish a deep, extensive root system. Once established, it can tolerate drought, but it is best to water it regularly during prolonged dry spells. Water the plant deeply once a week or whenever the soil is dry to the touch.
• Maintenance: It is a low-maintenance plant and does not require much attention. Keep an eye out for pests and diseases, and remove any diseased or damaged foliage promptly.
• Pruning: In-season pruning: Pinch back the tips of the plant when it reaches about 12 inches tall to encourage bushier growth and more blooms. End-of-season pruning: Cut back the plant to a few inches above the ground after the first frost in fall to tidy up the garden.
• (Optional):Fertilizer: Black Eyed Susan does not require much fertilizer, but you can apply a balanced fertilizer once a month during the growing season to promote healthy growth and blooms.

Planting trees or plants is easy! First, begin by digging a hole that's twice as wide as the root ball and just as deep. Place the tree or plant in the hole and add some bonemeal fertilizer. Backfill with fresh soil if needed and water thoroughly. Water regularly until roots are established to keep the plant healthy. Enjoy your new tree or plant!
