DESCRIPTION

The Climbing Hydrangea, scientifically known as Hydrangea anomala subsp. petiolaris, is a deciduous woody vine prized for its stunning, large lacecap flowers and robust growth. This climbing hydrangea produces fragrant white blooms in summer and boasts attractive exfoliating bark in winter. It's ideal for covering walls, fences, or arbors and adds a touch of elegance to vertical landscapes. It prefers partial shade and moist, well-drained soil.

Care Guide

Climbing Hydrangea thrives in partial to full shade and well-drained soil. Regular watering is essential to establish a strong root system. Pruning should be minimal and mainly for removing dead or overgrown branches. This deciduous vine is known for its picturesque, white lacecap flowers that appear in early summer, creating a stunning display on walls, arbors, or trellises. Climbing Hydrangea adds a touch of elegance to shaded or woodland gardens and requires sturdy support for climbing. Proper mulching helps retain moisture.
