Concorde Japanese Barberry

• Watering: Water regularly during the first year after planting, ensuring the soil is moist but not waterlogged. Once established, Concorde Japanese Barberry is fairly drought-tolerant and can withstand short periods of dryness
• Maintenance: Concorde Japanese Barberry is generally low maintenance, but it benefits from an annual pruning to keep its shape and size in check
• Pruning: Prune lightly in late spring or early summer to maintain the desired shape and size of the plant. Prune more heavily in late winter or early spring to rejuvenate the plant and promote healthy new growth. Cut back up to one-third of the plant's branches to the ground, leaving the healthiest and most vigorous ones intact
• (Optional): Concorde Japanese Barberry doesn't require much fertilizer, but you can apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring if desired

Planting trees or plants is easy! First, begin by digging a hole that's twice as wide as the root ball and just as deep. Place the tree or plant in the hole and add some bonemeal fertilizer. Backfill with fresh soil if needed and water thoroughly. Water regularly until roots are established to keep the plant healthy. Enjoy your new tree or plant!
