Diana Rose of Sharon/Althea is a deciduous shrub with a dense and upright growth habit, featuring large and showy flowers in shades of pink, red, and white. Its dark green foliage turns yellow in the fall, providing an extra touch of colour to any garden or landscape. This hardy and low-maintenance plant blooms in the summer months and is ideal for borders, hedges, and as a specimen plant.

Care Guide

  • Watering: Water deeply and thoroughly once or twice a week to keep the soil evenly moist but not waterlogged.
  • Pruning: In late fall, after the plant has gone dormant, remove any dead or diseased wood. Cut back the remaining growth to 6-12 inches from the ground to prepare for new growth in the spring.
  • (Optional):Fertilize in early spring with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer. Repeat feeding every 4-6 weeks throughout the growing season.
