Lavender Phlox

• Watering: Water lavender phlox once a week or when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch.
• Maintenance: Phlox are a low maintenance plant, but you should monitor for pests and diseases, especially during hot and humid weather. Additionally deadheading spent blooms can encourage more flowers and prevent self-seeding.
• Pruning: In-season pruning: Pinch back the top 1/3 of the stems in early spring to promote bushier growth and more flowers. End-of-season pruning: Cut back the entire plant to about 2-3 inches above the soil after the first hard frost in fall.
• (Optional):Fertilize lavender phlox once a month during the growing season with a balanced fertilizer, such as 10-10-10 or 20-20-20. Avoid fertilizing in late summer or early fall to prevent stimulating new growth that may not harden off before winter.

Planting trees or plants is easy! First, begin by digging a hole that's twice as wide as the root ball and just as deep. Place the tree or plant in the hole and add some bonemeal fertilizer. Backfill with fresh soil if needed and water thoroughly. Water regularly until roots are established to keep the plant healthy. Enjoy your new tree or plant!
