• Water needs:This plant prefers well-drained soil and should not be allowed to sit in standing water. Water the plant regularly to keep the soil evenly moist, but not waterlogged.
• Maintenance needs: Deadhead the spent blooms regularly to encourage continued blooming.
• Pruning: After the final flush of blooms, cut back the plant to just above the ground to prepare it for winter.
• Fertilizer is optional: If you would like to fertilize use a slow release plant food in the spring. No additional fertilization would be required.

Planting trees or plants is easy! First, begin by digging a hole that's twice as wide as the root ball and just as deep. Place the tree or plant in the hole and add some bonemeal fertilizer. Backfill with fresh soil if needed and water thoroughly. Water regularly until roots are established to keep the plant healthy. Enjoy your new tree or plant!
