• Watering: Water deeply once a week or more frequently in hot weather. Mulch around the base of the plant to retain moisture and regulate soil temperature
• Maintenance: Apply a layer of compost or organic matter around the base of the plant in spring and fall. Additionally deadhead spent blooms to encourage new growth and prolong the flowering season
• Pruning: Prune in late winter or early spring before new growth emerges. Cut back the stems to about 1/3 of their height to encourage fuller growth and larger flowers
• (Optional):Fertilize using a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring before new growth begins. Avoid fertilizing after midsummer to prevent late-season growth that may be damaged by frost

Planting trees or plants is easy! First, begin by digging a hole that's twice as wide as the root ball and just as deep. Place the tree or plant in the hole and add some bonemeal fertilizer. Backfill with fresh soil if needed and water thoroughly. Water regularly until roots are established to keep the plant healthy. Enjoy your new tree or plant!
