I am a Variegated Sweet Iris, and I am best known for my masses of lilac flag-like flowers with their purple throats and golden yellow beards. They don't only call me a Sweet Iris because I look sweet; I smell very sweet as well, and bring a calming aroma to your garden or any room you place my beautiful cuttings in. I require occasional maintenance; I won't tolerate standing water, and I like to be cut back in the late fall to prepare me for the winter. Other than this, I am very easy going - I thrive in any soil type, and I am tolerant of urban pollution. One thing to note about me is that insects and snails find me tasty, and may chew through my beautiful leaves - but don't worry, the rabbits and deer leave me alone! I am happiest, healthiest and most beautiful when I get some time in the sun, my soil is moist, and I am mass planted with my Sweet Iris friends.

Planting trees or plants is easy! First, begin by digging a hole that's twice as wide as the root ball and just as deep. Place the tree or plant in the hole and add some bonemeal fertilizer. Backfill with fresh soil if needed and water thoroughly. Water regularly until roots are established to keep the plant healthy. Enjoy your new tree or plant!
